We’re always looking at the latest hair and fashion trends here at Sixth Sense Hair & Beauty so you won’t be surprised to find we’ve done our homework to find out what’s hot for Autumn!
Our hair tends to naturally lighten over the summer months – the result of the sun’s harsh rays, sea salt and pool chlorine – so Autumn is the perfect time to pep up your hair colour and style.
When it comes to colour, we’ll be seeing some gorgeous warmer hues as well as bright pastel tones, and styling will be more relaxed with hair that looks sexy and casual.
Sixth Sense owner and Master Colour Expert Dean Vinning (pictured left) said: “We are really excited about this season’s trends and we will happily sit with you prior to making a booking to ensure that we are offer the perfect cut and colour for you.”
Autumn Blonde Hair Colours
If you have blonde hair you should consider adding warmer tones to your hair for the Autumn. Rich caramel, golden or honey tones can be added to fair hair for a warmer more autumnal look.
Jennifer Aniston understands which colours suit her skin tone and rarely ventures far from these warm honey hues. Jennifer Lawrence gets her looks bang on trend with warm lowlights, while Scarlett Johanssen moves away from the bright blonde we associate with her and opts for a more natural caramel tone.
Rich Red Hair Tones
If you’re thinking of becoming a redhead, then this Autumn is the time to do it. There will be a move away from block colour towards more subtle highlights, lowlights and razorlights of soft copper, rich mahogany and dramatic reds weaving through your hair.
Isla Fisher tones down her usual bright red shade with a warmer red tone, Julia Roberts looks gorgeous with long tousled hair highlighted with burnt red tones, and Kristen Stewart gets her look spot-on with copper flashes of colour adding interest to her new cropped haircut.
Broken Ombré Hair Trend for Autumn
A new take on the ombre hair colour trend will be bit news this Autumn 2014. Opt for a contrasting colour to your natural hair shade like Khloe Kardashian (pictured centre, who has created this long blonde do with some help from hair extensions) or opt for a more subtle ombre look like Caroline Flack and Lauren Conrad.
Pastel Hair Colours On-Trend for Autumn
The more daring among us will plump for a pretty pastel hair colour but be warned… pastel colours do not suit everyone! Our Colour Technicians can help you find a colour that will work for you. We’ll look at your skin tone, eye colour and talk to you about the colour of the clothes you reckon best suit you. In fact, we can do this for all colours to find a blonde, a brown or a red tone that looks great on you.
