This month Sixth Sense Salon welcomed the super talented Kay McIntyre – UK NIOXIN Ambassador and Julie Tullis head of Education for NIOXIN into the salon to meet Julie; but also to train the team on how to cut / colour thinning hair.
As you will see from the video, Julie’s hair is now looking phenomenal and we are excited to share that she has now moved up to system 5; which is amazing considering the short amount of time using the system.

In this month’s video we step away from the salon a little to show you some of the ways Julie has remained positive throughout the last 12 months since being diagnosed with breast cancer in February last year.
This story isn’t just about NIOXIN, it’s about the positive impact that how your hair can define you as a person and how important it is to ensure that you give back to your clients who visit your salon.

Wow! In just over 6 months we have seen the amazing and inspirational Julie Emery kick cancer’s ass and look absolutely fabulous whilst doing so. It’s been a positive start to 2016 with Julie returning to work and running on a regular basis. Julie’s hair is noticeably thicker and in this video she has her very first haircut since losing her hair due to Chemotherapy.

Since the start of this journey the relationship between Julie and Dean has grown into a great friendship. The whole team are really excited when it’s time for her appointment and we can’t wait to see how much her hair has grown.

Julie’s Journey back to Fabulous Hair – DAY 87

Julie’s hair is now growing back at a rapid rate, with all the previous thinner patches starting to fill up. The last four weeks, as usual, have been pretty eventful for Julie and Sixth Sense Salon. At the start of the month Wella contacted us with a proposal to use Julie’s story to front a campaign called #GiftOfConfidence which is where people share their stories of how NIOXIN has helped them; this is a national campaign where Julie’s story was shared across the UK.

We also arranged for Julie to have a professional photo shoot with her Husband Michael, the amazing images from this shoot are in Julie’s latest video.
Julie commented: “This has been such a great four weeks, my hair is coming back faster and healthier than before, I can’t believe it. I literally can’t wait until I can have it coloured in 12 weeks’ time”.

Julie’s Journey back to Fabulous Hair – DAY 56

What an amazing four weeks we’ve had working with Julie, not only have we seen phenomenal results with her incredible hair growth using NIOXIN; Julie was also involved in our fashion show, had multiple articles written about her in the local press and helped us host our fist NIOXN pamper night with a number of other brave ladies who are part Breast Friends Charity.
Julie’s hair is now looking noticeably thicker and healthier; she has noticed that some of the areas where she had hair growing before the treatment seem to be thinner than the areas that had no hair after chemotherapy, this should start to improve over the next couple of weeks as Julie continues to the NIOXIN 2 system for thinning hair.

Julie’s Journey back to Fabulous Hair – DAY 28

It’s been 28 days since Julie’s first treatment and the results have been amazing; there are hair follicles all over Julie’s scalp with noticeable results and dense hair growth from where it was bald before.
Julie is continuing to use NIOXIN System 2, but she has also starting using the NIOXIN Scalp Renew which is a treatment that help strengthen the hair as it starts coming through.

DAY 14
Julie has used NIOXIN System 2 which consists of a cleanser, scalp revitaliser and a scalp treatment every day and has seen her hair grow by 3mm over that time. Although only a short amount of time, the results are evident and you can see the growth in patches where there was previously no hair growth at all.
Julie says: “My hair has noticeably grown in places that were bald before I started my treatment; I’m really excited about the results as if this is what can happen by week 2, I can’t wait to see what happens in 12 months.”

DAY ONE
On Julie’s first appointment we had an in-depth consultation to discuss her expectations and to plan out the next 12 months of treatment to get her hair back to being fabulous. To start with we decided to shave Julie’s hair because we wanted it to grow back all one length.
We then used a NIOXIN dermabrasion treatment which we massaged into the scalp; it’s like a facial but on your head. This treatment unblocks the hair follicles and cleanses the scalp, helping it to breath so that the hair is encouraged to grow.

Julie says: “I’m about to embark on a 12 month documented journey with Sixth Sense Salon to regrow my hair using the NIOXIN treatment system. I’m really nervous, but excited at the same time. I’m not sure what my expectations are, but I do want my luscious locks back.”
