Sixth Sense Salon Directors Dean Vinning & Dean Robertson were invited to attend thebusinessdesk.co.uk West Midlands Business Masters Awards last night (16th June) hosted by BBC Breakfast Presenter Stephanie McGovern.
The salon was nominated for the prestigious Lifestyle Award which celebrates business excellence in the retail and leisure sector throughout the West Midlands.
Both Dean’s attended the awards expecting that they could not even compete with the other nominees: Brindley Place (high end shopping complex) and Marco Pierre White Restaurant in the Mail Box due to how large / successful they are as within the West Midlands.
The Lifestyle award was the first award to be announced by Stephanie McGovern, who was excited to announce that Sixth Sense Salon had won!
Dean & Dean joined Stephanie on stage where they were given the trophy and asked a series of questions by the Business Desk Editor – Alex Turner. He asked about their mission statement and the work they’ve done helping ladies regrow their hair after chemotherapy.
Business Manager Dean Robertson said “This is an amazing result, we still can believe that we’ve won against two very successful and established businesses. It just goes to show that it doesn’t matter how big or small your business is, if you believe in your brand and you’re genuinely making a positive impact of people’s lives, then great things will happen.”
Joining Dean & Dean the awards ceremony were their fathers who were both really proud of their achievement, especially considering Sixth Sense Salon has only been in business for just over 20 months.
2016 has been a fantastic year so far for the Sixth Sense Salon team who have also picked for a small business award from Dragons Den – Theo Paphitis and two regional awards for Salon of the Year. They also have nominations for a host of other awards including Best Local Salon with The Salon Business Awards and Best Salon Experience with Creative Heads Most Wanted Awards…
Dean & Dean would also like to congratulate the other winners from the different catorgories: Futura Group, Portmeririon Group, Stephen Jones @ Drewin Dolphin, Story Comms, BDHT, Cundall and Colmore Tang Construction. Well done guys…
