Happy Birthday Sixth Sense!
There was laughter, tears and lots of fun as we celebrated Sixth Sense Salon’s first birthday at a glamorous event at The Royal Hotel in Sutton Coldfield.
Local press, businesses, suppliers and VIP clients were treated to free-flowing champagne, stunning Yipsy Macarons along with an emotional roller-coaster of a show.
One of the highlights saw inspirational local woman Julie Emery tell guests her emotional and moving story about her recovery from breast cancer. Sixth Sense Salon are treated Julie’s hair and scalp with NIOXIN to help her grow back hair that is thick and healthy after it fell out during chemotherapy treatments.
Julie has created a video diary of her hair journey. NIOXIN caters for both men and women who are losing hair either through thinning, balding or the side effects of medical treatments. NIOXIN cleanses the scalp, stimulates the hair follicles and encourages hair to grow.
Dean Vinning said: “It just seems amazing how such a small business with a little kindness, time and compassion can help not just one person, but everyone following Julie’s story.”
The event then moved onto the client and supplier award where Sixth Sense gave awards to the key people who have contributed to their success over the past months, awards were handed out to:
*Additional awards handed out to guests who couldn’t make the night include Hair Goes Digital Award to SALON GURU & High Street Hero’s to College News
Another highlight was the Sixth Sense Salon Hair / Fashion / Beauty show showcasing hair by Sixth Sense, clothing by Disorder Boutique and Burbo K’ture, and make-up by the talented Kari Roberts.
Perhaps saving the best until last, the crowd gave a standing ovation when Julie Emery appeared on the catwalk rocking a Burbo K’ture dress. When she got to the end of the catwalk she turned to the crowd and whipped off her wig to showcase her dramatic hair growth.
It’s amazing to think that salon owners Dean Vinning & Dean Robertson opened this salon 12 months ago with no client base and only 3 team members. A year later and we have 9 team members who are now booked out weeks in advance with hundreds of happy customers.
We believe our success is down to our ability to create phenomenal hair cuts and colours, and to ensure our clients have a fantastic time when they are with us. After all, our mission statement is “Make Everybody Feel Like Somebody.”
Dean Vinning said: “What a night! We’d like to thank all our clients for helping to make the past year such a tremendous success and we look forward to creating more fantastic hair cuts, styles and colours for the next year and beyond.”
